Rescue Kitties of Hawaiʻi (RKH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes in abandoned, homeless, and unwanted cats and kittens. It is our goal to place these pets into loving, caring, forever homes.
You are not purchasing a pet from us; you are agreeing to adopt and care for a living, breathing creature who deserves safety and love. Your answers may be our assurance that this animal will live in a good, permanent home. All of your answers and information are confidential.
All of our cats and kittens are vaccinated, flea-treated, dewormed, treated for parasites, spayed or neutered, microchipped, socialized in our foster program, healthy, and ready for their furrever family. If a cat needs dental work or other health-related attention, we take care of that too, prior to adoption.
To meet a pet, fill out the adoption application and be approved before meeting any cats. It is up to the discretion of RKH whether the process includes a home check, in person or virtual.
We do not use a first-come, first-served process. Instead we focus on the best fit for each individual cat, to ensure a long-term, successful adoption for both the family and the pet.
We have been completely inundated with medical emergencies and flying cats to partner rescues on the mainland. With so many moving parts, our small team of volunteers is unable to keep an updated list of the kittens and cats that are available for adoption.

The adoption fee depends on the state the cat is adopted out of, so please contact us for specific prices. The fee is higher for adoptions outside of Hawaiʻi, to help cover the flights, health certificates, and vaccinations required for interstate travel.
We are entirely volunteer run, so every dollar goes directly to saving and providing for our rescue cats.
